VPN Unlimited – Best VPN with Two-Factor Authentication

We at KeepSolid do our best to make your online experience as secure as possible. That’s why our team keeps implementing a list of security measures in place to protect your data both inside and outside our app. Among such measures is two-factor authentication (also called 2FA) to safeguard your VPN Unlimited account.

In this piece, we answer the following questions:

  • What is two-factor authentication?
  • What is 2FA for VPN Unlimited?
  • What authentication types are used for VPN Unlimited?
  • How to set up 2FA in our VPN solution?

Let’s answer all your whats and whys!

Basics of two-factor authentication

The main idea of this security process is to make users employ two different types of authentication to boost verification reliability to an even more advanced level. As a result, two-factor authentication becomes a rock-solid shield to safeguard user’s accounts, credentials, and all the important data inside the app.

Obviously, 2FA is way more secure in comparison with a single-factor one. Why? In a nutshell, the SFA method is something you know (for example, your password). This information is quite easy to hack through the network. The 2FA method, in turn, is something you have (for example, a secret code sent to your email or smartphone). This security measure is possible to hack only if somebody physically takes away that something you have. Sounds quite impossible and too hard.

Two-factor authentication helps you to add an extra layer of security to your profile so that no unauthorized third parties can access your device or private accounts. Since in present-day reality, a single password is not enough to protect your data, you should definitely take 2FA seriously and give it a shot. So, why don’t you try our VPN solution with two-factor authentication?

How 2FA works in VPN Unlimited

If you wonder what 2FA means in the context of our application, we’ll try to make things clear. Two-factor authentication in our app helps you to make your VPN Unlimited account even more protected by adding a second way to authenticate your identity aside from your password. The available types of 2FA for our VPN are as follows:

  • Authenticator app
  • Code by email

Note: After turning on the 2FA feature, you will be automatically logged out of your VPN Unlimited profile on all your devices. From that exact moment, when signing in, you will be required to pass the chosen two-factor authentication in addition to entering your password.
