The ins and outs of the VPN Unlimited service work

Updated on July 13, 2021: From now on, traffic filtering, malware protection, and suspicious DNS activity blocking are available as a part of the separate DNS Firewall app.

When you install an app on your device, certain settings and configurations are usually required to be changed. This is a basic procedure for the trouble-free operation on your device. Ignoring it sometimes can cause hindrances while using your device.

Today we’d like to answer the most common questions that you may have at your start of using the VPN Unlimited service. Also, we will give a guidance on what you can do to make your device operate flawlessly.

Is the network traffic still accessible for others?

images When installing the VPN profile on iOS, a message that the network traffic can be monitored by 3rd parties appears. This is a standard system message that pops up whenever you install any app. Therefore, you can start the web surfing the very moment VPN Unlimited is on and be sure that your private data is encrypted.

Not able to send e-mails when the VPN is activated for the first time

When you launch the VPN for the first time, a notification that you are not able to send emails might show up. This happens because your e-mail client security settings are not customized accurately.

To continue using your e-mail client, you need to connect to the VPN, then go to the web version of your mail user agent and send a message from there. You will be asked to confirm that it’s really you. Please do.

Once it is done, your e-mail client will work smoothly.

Account access attempt

When the VPN is activated for the first time, you may receive a system message that someone was trying to access your account (e-mail, social networks, etc.) from a different location. Actually, it was no one else, but you. When you connect to our server, your IP changes. This action can be identified by your mail service as a hack attempt. You just need to confirm that it’s really you and proceed.

Google.com is in Arabic

Sometimes a Google search engine may change the default language to Arabic. This happens when many customers from United Arab Emirates use the same VPN server as you do. It means that the search requests are often sent in Arabic, and Google misthinks that the server you are connected to is located in UAE.

To revert the language back to your regular one, you have several options:
– click the google.com link at the bottom right corner of the window;
– connect to another server;
– clear the cache of your web browser;
– go to google.com/ncr and you will be routed to google.com, no matter where you are.
